Shop Til You Drop manual - Editing categories

Categories are normally the same as the supermarket aisles where the products are stored. For example the products bread, rolls and scones would all belong in the Bakery category and most shops will have a Bakery aisle.

The Category name box will always display the name of the currently selected category from the list below it.

To add a new category, type the new name into the Category name box and click on the Add button. The new category will be added to the list.

To change the name of an existing category, click on the category that you want to change in the list to select it, modify the name in the Category name box and click on the Change button.

To delete one or more categories, click on the categories that you want to remove in the list to select them and click on the Delete button. Note that any items and products which belonged in these categories will also be deleted. To select more than one category in the list, hold down the Ctrl key - the Delete button will show how many categories are currently selected.
