General
This page is where you enter the quantities of each product required on this shopping trip.
Getting ready
Before starting a new list, check that the previous list has been cleared. Click on the
All shops button above the shops list and then on
the Clear button. The Clear button only applies to the currently selected shop(s).
Select the shop you are going to visit from the list at the top of the window. If you are visiting more than one shop on this trip then you can select several shops by holding down the Ctrl key. To select all shops click on the All shops button above the shops list. If there is only one shop in the list it will be selected automatically for you.
The Total cost and number of Items in the list are updated as you enter quantities. However, these are only shown for the currently selected shop(s).
Entering quantities
First, check that the list is ready to accept quantities instead of prices by making sure that the
Edit shopping list button is down The Show all items option should also be selected.
Only entries in the Qty column can be changed on this page. Other item details can be changed on the Items page. You can quickly edit other item details by right-clicking on the item in the list and choosing Edit this item.
You can use your filled-out fridge list to help complete the shopping list. Make sure that the items in the shopping list are being displayed in the same order as those on the fridge list by clicking on the heading of either the Category or Product column.
Click in the quantity box of the first item you wish to buy and type in the required quantity. The fastest way to enter quantities and move down the list is to use the numeric keypad on your keyboard. Type in a quantity and press the Enter key to automatically move to the next item in the list. To skip an item just press the Enter key. You can also use the Up/Down cursor keys or the mouse to move between items.
List complete
You can add notes to the shopping list simply by typing into the Notes box. The notes will be printed at the bottom of the shopping list.
If you wish to double-check your completed list, deselect the Show all items option. This will make the list show only the items with non-zero quantities, ie. the ones on the shopping list.
Click on the Print button to print off your shopping list.
